Dear Friends and Dear Friends,

the exciting result of the conference on "The emergencies in Tuscany. Crisis of a regional model of development "a new phase of our history;
The high level of all the speeches and reports, participation thick, tense and passionate, the presence of many distinguished guests such as representatives of environmental and Italian Representatives of several committees not Tuscan; the controversy, always civil, even when strict and severe (at least by us), the precise indication of alternative goals as often as they were discarded those currently selected by the institutions (apply to all cases the "Corridor Tyrrhenian" and "railway underpass in Florence" are a thing of the Network of Committees to defend the territory a very reliable partner and mature, which will be difficult, as we have also tried to get rid of silence.

Proof of this is (for starters) To strengthen dialogue and courteous even if questionable, fellow prof. Massimo Morisi during the debate and then on the columns of the "Republic", which reveals, I think, beyond the dialectic game, some argued that embarrassment in Tuscany, as well as being "sapiens" is still also "felix" ; and insurance, by the region, which will carry out a detailed examination of the well 109 emergencies reported to separate us, so we are told, the wheat from the chaff: if they are roses bloom.

want to take this opportunity also very careful to report the behavior of the press and national media and Tuscany, which has conducted and supervised the event (except for some unnecessarily yelled title).
thank the guests outside the network - such as those illustrious Edoardo Salzano, Salvatore Settis, Giovanni Lo Savio, - for the substantial contribution given to the conduct of the meeting.

thank those of us who have given even greater contribution to organizational (and intellectual) of the Convention: Paul Baldeschi, Mario Bence, Ornella De Zordo and of course the indispensable and decisive Sergio Morozzi, Claudio Greppi, which must be central and foundational work, the writing of "Map of emergencies" Nino Criscenti for the important job of press secretary.

I transmit the final communiqué of the conference, read by Ornella De Zordo and welcomed with applause by those present. As is our custom, it records the sense of being in place and another opens, on which we reflect in the coming months. Please read it carefully and, if possible, to give it wide distribution.

Beyond the summer ahead of us, it seems to me that at least three objectives are outlining today in front of the Network:
1) the ultimate strengthening of the Network (Not just the constitution, already approved, the association, but other forms of inter-relationship and intervention);
2) the delineation of more precise planning and cultural policy in the area;
3) the strengthening of ties with other regional coordinators, who, apparently intending to follow a similar route to our (the Network of Networks).

Of this, more generally, we will discuss in a general assembly of delegates in the second half of September. The rest will follow naturally.
